FLUID CHEMISTRY
Bolidt Innovation Center

Suppose you make the best cast floors in the world… And you want everyone to see how you make them, step by step. You want to show how innovative and creative your organization is. And show the pride of your team. What if you turned your company into an experience? That’s exactly what we did for the Bolidt family business. Together with the management, employees and the architect, we conceived a concept for an innovation center that invites visitors and employees to become participants.

Everything revolves around chemistry
This living lab is all about chemistry. The business elements, clients and raw materials respond to each other, creating something new every time. Whereas the logistics areas and the laboratory were previously hidden, now they’re proudly on show. We have transformed them into co-creation spaces where you can work as an innovator yourself.
Even the collaboration was complete chemistry, everything came together perfectly for this project.

Bolidt becomes a story
How can you engage visitors and employees into Bolidt’s stories and ambitions? We did this by delving into the company and its work. We identified the main stories, elaborated on important details and showed processes in new interactive ways. We tell this story in several places and in many ways. We also developed a graphic visual language that connects all the spaces in the building.

They said we could go all out with the graphics, so that's what we did.

The experience is designed as a menu
Your experience is customized according to your profile. For example, you might be an architect, cruise ship owner or poultry farmer. Once you leave the experience you will know everything there is to know about Bolidt. What raw materials are needed and where they originate. How to ensure that a casting floor adheres well. What you can do with patterns, textures and colors. How an antibacterial cast floor of a hospital differs from the anti-slip floor of a bicycle parking garage. The building and its interior have become a tool as part of Bolidt’s innovation program.
