Qasr Al Hosn Exhibition

Kossmann.dejong designed the temporary exhibition on the history of Abu Dhabi and the Qasr Al Hosn Fort, going back 450 years, and plans for the fort area’s future.

After designing two exhibitions for the Qasr Al Hosn Festival in 2016, we were asked to create a new temporary exhibition about the history of Abu Dhabi, in the visitors’ center of the the Qasr Al Hosn Fort, the oldest building of Abu Dhabi.

Kossmann.dejong designed the temporary exhibition on the history of Abu Dhabi and the Qasr Al Hosn Fort, going back 450 years, and plans for the fort area’s future.
Through a combination of historical artefacts, Pepper’s Ghost illusions and a large animated model, the history of the fort and Abu Dhabi is shown, going back 450 years, from only a fort with watchtower to a large modern metropolis.
Visitors are also offered an impression of the renovation plans for the fort area’s future, designed by Danish architects, CEBRA Architecture.
