In the permanent exhibition of the Maritime Museum, the rhythm of the port of Rotterdam can be felt in the presentation MainPort Live. A journey through time makes the entire history of the port visible.

Film images of life in the port can be seen on large screens and an imposing “live” model gives an impression of the modern port area. Maps, sound clips and unique film recordings can be tracked down by the visitors themselves.

Thousands of pictures of the port can be looked at using the time navigator in the ‘Control Room’.

The entire Second Maasvlakte can be seen and the ships followed real-time.
