The Israeli Oz Almog painted more than 400 portraits of (well-known) Jews. In these, he literally portrays the many faces of Judaism while at the same time raising the provocative question as to who or what is in fact Jewish.

400 portraits become 400 individuals. The portraits are placed at different eye levels and distributed alphabetically throughout different rooms of the museum.

Kossmanndejong also provided the publicity material for this exhibition. After Amsterdam, the exhibition travelled to the Madison Art Center in Madison, Wisconsin and Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland.
